Request: Automation Suggestions

April 26, 2010

Hello,

I’m going to challenge myself. Here’s the plan.

I am going to explain and demonstrate an automation technique every week on Talking Mac. I’ve got several that I’ll start off with, but want to make this a regular part of the show. As such, I’ll need a regular stream of automation ideas.

Here’s what I need: Suggestions of relatively simple repetitive tasks. Some examples that I have: converting images, emailing files, cleaning your desktop, uploading a file. If your suggestion is selected, I will credit you on the website and the broadcast. Also, you’ll get a copy of the files created to solve your workflow for free. I normally charge for this, so it’s a win-win for everyone.

To submit a suggestion, email me here.

Tonight’s show

April 20, 2010

Tonight on Talking Mac, we have Jason Brizzi, who has been a long time Mac User. Bryan is off, so he is going to be a guest co-host. We’re going to talk quite a bit about this week in Mac.

Tune in on http://worldwideamplified.com from 8-9PM.

Also, per usual, we have the studio open from 7:30-9 for Mac users that would like to meet and socialize.

No podcast for episode 6

April 14, 2010

Due to producer error (I forgot to hit the record button) last night’s episode has been lost to the aether. It’s a shame, because it was one of the best episodes that we’ve had to date.

Thanks to Drew Maifeld for spending time with us.

Show tonight

April 6, 2010

It’s been a whirlwind of a week. I apologize for not getting this out until now.

We have a lot to talk about tonight.

  • Victoria Herring of Herring Law is going to be in the Studio with an iPad.
  • We are broadcasting on a new, Mac-based platform.
  • We are hosted at a new studio, located in the Partnership building (700 Locust) on the Skywalk Level. Parking is easy, as there are seven levels above the offices at 700 Locust. The studio currently has paper over the windows, as they are going to be doing some construction over the next several weeks.

Come down and network with your fellow Mac users.
